Cuteness

Is she getting big or what?? She's started doing some really cute, new things lately and I just wanted to share. She started waving over a month ago, but now she waves ALL the time. As soon as I get her out of her crib in the morning, she starts smiling and waving. As soon as we step out of the house, she starts smiling and waving. Walking through the parking lot at Walmart...yep, you guessed it. She will wave at anyone and anyTHING. She waves at people she doesn't even know and gives them this "WTH look" if they don't wave back. She has even taken to waving to our ceiling light in the living room. Silly girl! I have to admit, it does freak me out just a tad when she starts waving and smiling at thin air (especially since we've had some freaky things happen in our house before).

We realized on Sunday that Brooke has picked up on how you call a dog (i.e. - smooching your lips and making that kissy noise...lol...can *you think of a better way to describe it??). We were at my cousin's graduation party, which was at their house in their yard and their neighbors have a golden retriever named Jake (very pretty dog). Brooke started going nuts when she saw him (she LOVES animals) and then started making that noise! She does it anytime she sees a dog now. It's super cute. And since then I've taught her how to say "woof woof", which comes out more like "ooffff", when I ask her what a doggie says. I love it : ).

And another thing she now does (and I was trying to get a pic this morning, to no avail) is give her doll kisses when you tell her, too. Complete with the "lip smacking". She seems to really like her baby dolls and I'm so happy about that : ). I hope it lasts for awhile because I (still) love dolls! However, the little turd will NOT give me a kiss when I tell her to "Give Mommy a kiss!" : P.

One more thing...I got SO excited last week on Friday because she took THREE steps before falling down. I thought for sure she would be walking soon, but I've barely been able to get her to take even ONE step since then : P. I stand her up and she just smiles and slowly sits down, lol. Oh well...when she's ready!

The later they walk, the faster they go when they finally start~ she'll be a pro from the start! Zach was 15 months, Logan was 18~ and they ran from the get-go! She'll be flying before you know it! :)
